The Thing: Another trailer...(SPOILERS)...

Well I’ll keep this short as the last Thing piece was just days ago.

The Thing; New trailer for the alien horror prequel...

I will say that if you thought the last trailer spoiled the deaths and monster nastiness, then you need to click off this page now. (but please click another page here, or on every single ad on the page. Mwa ha ha ha!) Seriously, spoiler heaven; creepy, nasty spoiler heaven...

Synopsis...
“Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home to an isolated outpost where a discovery full of scientific possibility becomes a mission of survival when an alien is unearthed by a crew of international scientists. The shape-shifting creature, accidentally unleashed at this marooned colony, has the ability to turn itself into a perfect replica of any living being. It can look just like you or me, but inside, it remains inhuman. In the thriller The Thing, paranoia spreads like an epidemic among a group of researchers as they're infected, one by one, by a mystery from another planet. Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) has traveled to the desolate region for the expedition of her lifetime. Joining a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across an extraterrestrial ship buried in the ice, she discovers an organism that seems to have died in the crash eons ago. But it is about to wake up. When a simple experiment frees the alien from its frozen prison, Kate must join the crew's pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to keep it from killing them off one at a time. And in this vast, intense land, a parasite that can mimic anything it touches will pit human against human as it tries to survive and flourish. The Thing serves as a prelude to John Carpenter's classic 1982 film of the same name.”

Snow White & The Huntsman: Kristen Stewart’s Snow White gets soaked & rides a pretty white horse...

Well considering that I’m not the greatest fan of ‘non-official’ pap pics, I’m now ‘having’ to post some for the second time in 6 days. (First being the Catwoman pics on Sunday) Here we get to see some pretty decent pics of Kristen Stewart’s Snow White, in non battle armour and getting a liberal coating of what seems like pretty cold water at the beach. She also gets to ride a pretty white horse (or 2) as filming continues apace for this film: which remains pretty high on my must see list for next summer. (You can see why by clicking the link below that gives info and related video on all three Snow White films currently in production; 2 of which will be out next year.)

Snow White & The Huntsman - Snow white (Untitled Lilly Collins film) – (Snow White &) The Order of The Seven! A look at the three Snow White movies on the way & their directors work so far...

...just a little more ...

“In the epic Action-Adventure Snow White And The Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil Queen (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was despatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted with Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is fro Joe Roth, producer of Alice In Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.”

Cast...
Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, Sam Claflin & Chris Hemsworth as The Wicked Queen, Snow White, Prince Charmant and The Huntsman: and as the warrior dwarves Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Nick Frost, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Ray Winstone, Stephen Graham, and Ray Winstone. Top of the line and that’s that.

The Avengers: Portraits of the 6 Avengers including Bruce Banner as a male super-model???

Seriously, it looks like Mark Ruffalo is auditioning for a role in Zoolander 2, not playing Bruce Banner, mild mannered super genius. I’m going to go with some kind of fiendish, Loki mind control here. There’s more to be found at EW’s article and of course for those of you willing to shell(head) out for the magazine itself  will doubtless find many more Avengers goodies in the pages.

The Avengers: How the Solo-films actually tie together and what happens when...

There are some interesting titbits from each actor and how they see certain aspects. Scarlett Johansson’s fears that her guns seemed a little insignificant next to Thor’s Hammer; Ruffalo’s reminding everyone that, aside from both being scientific geniuses, Bruce Banner & Tony Stark also share a penchant for testing out their inventions on themselves; Jeremy Renner’s musings on his (I’m assuming Adamantium) Hulk-busting, tranquiliser, arrows; and Chris Hemsworth on Thor’s continued conflict in having to both fight & protect his ever more misguided brother, Loki.

If I can’t join The Avengers I'll be a catalogue model!
It would have been nice t have the 3 ‘normal’ S.H.I.E.L.D agents eatured too (Samuel L Jackson’s Director Nick Fury; Cobie Smulders’ Agent Mria Hill; & Clark Gregg’s ubiquitous Agent Coulson) but it’s early days yet and there’s plenty of time between now and the film’s release on the 4th of May 2012. Then we shall see how one of the riskiest and most daring attempts at blockbuster film-making yet seen goes down with the public.

Captain America Blu-Ray...

The Muppets need a Bazillion likes! Watch Miss Piggy’s video to find out how you can help...

submit to reddit Delicious Bookmark this on Delicious
Seriously guys, the Muppets need your help here. If they get to a Bazillion likes (That many!) then good things will happen, although probably only to Americans, but hey it’s The Muppets!
Plus you know she’s right. We have been wasting our likes and it is high time we stopped! It’s time to dress up right... It’s time to get things started...

Synopsis...
“On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.”

The hours of fun they’ve given us from The Muppet Christmas Carol alone deserves our help. Or do you have no soul?

Tintin: Spanish trailer in, well in Spanish of course, but with some cool new stuff...

submit to reddit Delicious Bookmark this on Delicious
The Adventures of Tintin is rapidly approaching (unless you’re in the curiously Tintin phobic United States, in which case it’s still just approaching) with only 4 weeks left until the eagerly anticipated film starts its bid to take over the world’s cinemas. (International Release dates at the end)

The Smurfs pass $500m worldwide!

With the $500m taken by the Smurfs showing what an established, global brand, can achieve, even with minimal storytelling achievements, the release of Tintin, which has been around longer and with over 350m of the collected comic books sold, there’s a strong argument that Tintin is a more popular character, and with an age group wider than that of the Smurfs.

Synopsis...
“Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present "The Adventures of Tintin" directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell ("Billy Elliot," "Defiance") as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig ("Quantum of Solace," "Defiance") as the nefarious Red Rackham.”

Whilst the Mo-Cap is a potential turn off the pedigree of Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg producing & directing; as well as a well respected writing team adapting (Edgar Wright (Shaun of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim), Steven Moffat (Sherlock, Dr. Who, Jekyll)  & Joe Cornish (Attack The Block) ) adds extra cache to the film for the adults.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that they even though they separate the regions, and list North America, they only ever put United States and not Canada on these things?
